Agenda-
- Take out your iPad/Chromebook, a pen, and your ROTHMC novel
- I will do a reading check on chapter 1

- Work on Spelling Unit 2
- Begin reading and annotating chapter 2 of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry (ROTHMC)
**Annotation Requirements: Plot Summary (significant events that occur), Characterization (character traits/personality of the characters), Make Connections- (Text-to-text, text-to-self, text-to-world), Personal Reactions (anything that you have an emotion about), and Significant Questions (do not do yes or no questions or questions that may be answered by the end of the chapter).
Homework-
Spelling Unit 2 due Wednesday (if you do not finish in class).
Read and annotate chapters 2 and 3 of ROTHMC due Thursday. You will have class time tomorrow and Wednesday, but make sure you are reading some at home to manage your time wisely. Our first BOOK CLUB/Small Group Seminar will be on Friday. The Host must bring 4 significant questions for discussion and food is optional. The other members of the group must bring 2 significant questions for discussion. The book club will be on chapters 1-3

Read 40+ pages, due every Monday, of your Independent Reading.
